9/16/2021 2:20:58 PM

Amazon Inc. has agreed with Italian trade unions to collaborate with them in managing its operations in the country.

Reuters reported that Amazon Italia signed an agreement that will initiate trade union discussions regarding the practicalities of the company’s development and several working opportunities, such as job training, job openings, and industrial relations.

The Italian General Confederation of Labor union head Maurizio Landini said that it was a pivotal point in recognizing union roles in relation to the largest e-commerce platform in the world.

Amazon supported Italian workers’ needs by supplying six billion euros, or $7 billion, and provided 12,500 jobs. It said that the agreement cemented its dedication to work hand in hand with the union.

Amazon said they " believe relations built on these grounds will encourage our investment strategy in the country.”
