London, England, United Kingdom (4E Sports) - Cesc Fabregas marked his 300th Premier League match with a goal and an assist to carry Chelsea to a 3-1 win over Swansea City Saturday at Stamford Bridge.
With the win, Chelsea extended its lead over Manchester City to 11 points and 13 points over Tottenham Hotspur.
"I think it is another step. From us a good game, a good win. It wasn't easy to play against them. They had the ball well. We created many chances, especially in the first half. It's a pity we conceded a goal before half-time," said Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.
Fabregas, the first Spanish player to reach the milestone in the Premier League, received Pedro's pass and prodded home in the 19th minute for a 1-0 lead.
Fernando Llorente levelled for Swansea before the break but Pedro restored the lead in the 72nd minute with help from Fabregas before Diego Costa capped scoring in the 84th minute.
The loss dropped Swansea three points above the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, Patrick van Aanholt scored for the first time in a Crystal Palace uniform as the Eagles got out of the bottom three with a 1-0 triumph over Middlesbrough at Selhurst Park.
Van Aanholt, who signed with Crystal Place after a stint with Sunderland, fired in from the edge of the box in the 34th minute, giving Sam Allardyce his first home victory as manager.
With the win, Crystal Palace moved above Leicester City and Hull City into 17th place.
In other matches, Everton beat Sunderland, 1-0; West Bromwich Albion downed Bournemouth, 2-1; while showdowns between Hull City-Burnley and Watford-West Ham United both ended in 1-1 draws.
