Washington, DC, United States (4E Sports) - The Washington Wizards have boosted their offense by acquired small forward Bojan Bogdanovic from the Brooklyn Nets, according to sources.
The Wizards shipped a lottery-protected 2017 first-round draft pick, Marcus Thornton and Andrew Nicholson for Bogdanovic and Chris McCullough.
Bogdanovic will provide additional scoring punch for the Wizards (34-21), who lead Atlanta by 2½ games in the Southeast Division and is third in the Eastern Conference, behind Cleveland and Boston.
Originally a second-round pick of the Heat in 2011 but signed with the Nets in 2014, the 27-year-old Bogdanovic is averaging 14.2 points per game in his third season in the league.
The 29-year-old Thornton is averaging 6.6 points for the Wizards this season.
