New Madrid, MO, United States (4E) - Taylor Swift always surprises her fans on Christmas and the fan she chose to surprise is a World War II 96-year-old veteran from Missouri.
The occasion is called "Swiftmas" and she decided to pay a surprise visit to one of her oldest fans. The elderly man was identified as Cyrus Porter. According to reports, Swift stopped by the home of Porter in New Madrid, Missouri the day after Christmas. The singer reportedly sang an acoustic version of "Shake It Off" for her fans.
In a recent local news interview, Porter said about being to Swift's concerts and being a fan of the singer, "I've been to two concerts. Memphis and St Louis. Look what she does…she puts on a show no one else puts on…I just liked the way she did stuff." It is possible that Swift saw the news as it has gone viral so she decided to visit one of her oldest fans.
One of the relatives of Porter said in a statement, "My Popo was ecstatic! He was grinning from ear to ear and even had tears in his eyes." A photo showing Swift with Porter was also uploaded on Twitter. Videos of the private concert also were uploaded on the social media platform.
Porter was also interviewed a day after the visit and he said that he could not believe what happened noting that he would not consider it as a miracle but he thinks it is pretty close.
More on Porter, he and his wife have been married for 69 years and they have nine children together. They also have 49 grandchildren and great grandchildren now.
