6/30/2020 3:34:46 PM

SpaceX will launch its Falcon 9 rocket into orbit today from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, FL.

The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch the GPS III Space Vehicle 03 — the U.S. Air Force’s third-generation navigation satellite for the Global Positioning System. It will join GPS III SV01 — launched December 2018, the GPS III SV02 — launched July 2019, and other operational GPS satellites already in orbit.

The launch time frame is 3:55 p.m.– 4:15 p.m. EST and can be viewed at SpaceX.com/Launches/.

Current weather forecasts predict isolated thunderstorms in the area during launch time. In the event the launch is delayed, the forecast for Wednesday worsens with scattered thunderstorms in the area.
